On American Airlines, will they charge for checked bags in this situation?
If you're flying from Omaha to Dallas for a connection to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, I know American gives you 2 free checked bags going to Brazil, but would they charge for checked bags on the Omaha-Dallas connection? Dallas is just a connecting flight.

If you are ticketed on American Airlines for the entire journey, then your origin point of Omaha, NE is going to be considered the start of your International flight. You'll get the baggage allowance afforded to a passenger going to Brazil.
