Multiple Airlines help!?
Ok so here is my dilemma. I am flying 3 different airlines. From Omaha to Denver I am flying with Frontier. I am then transferring to United to fly to Seattle and then Portland. I return home with Delta flying to Minneapolis and then back to Omaha, both with delta. My question is about ticketing. I booked using Orbitz and I got my itinerary about my flight. Do i have to check in with Frontier and United before I leave Omaha? Or check in with United in Denver? I have no idea how flying multiple airlines actually works and I emailed Orbitz and the response was very vague.

No, you don't have to check in with all of them, just Frontier. They will do the ticketing for the first part of your trip and will usually give you the tickets or boarding passes for your other stops and destinations. Also, they will tell you whether you will need to pick up your luggage and recheck it at the following stops or if you will just need to pick it up when you arrive at you final destination. Bottom line, frontier will explain it all and take care of ALL the tickets in Omaha.

Frontier and United are not partner airlines. Frontier may not be able to issue you a boarding pass for your United flight so you may need to check-in again in Denver. Give Frontier a call, they should be able to give you a definitive answer to your question. Good luck.
