9 Hour Layover In Salt Lake City?
I have a nine (9) hour lay over at the Salt Lake City Airport during an upcoming trip I am taking to Omaha, Nebraska. I bought my tickets through Orbitz and my flight was changed so I will have to be stuck in the airport for nine (9) hours, from 1030 in the morning until 730 at night. Does anyone know what my boyfriend and I can do during that time? Can we leave the airport? It is smart and hassle free to leave and come back? Can you please give me ideas on what to do to pass the time? Also, what is the Salt Lake City airport like? It is nice with places to eat and shop? Thank you for your help.

I haven't flown through Salt Lake in a number of years, but the last time I did, the best thing I found to do was to take the Mormon Church free bus into the city. You can tour the Mormon Tabernacle, see the Church (outside only unless you're Mormon), or just mess around in Salt Lake City (which is a nice town). The bus is free & so is the tour. All they require(d) is that you have at least a 4 hour layover, which you do. You can probably Google it. Have fun. Kathy
