There are no direct flight from Omaha to LAX. You could go via Denver or Phoenix (2 good choices) or somewhere else. Omaha - Phoenix : 2h52mins on US Airways Phoenix - LAX: 1h27mins on US Airways Omaha - Denver: 1h46mins on United Airlines Denver - LAX: 2h30mins on United Airlines As of what I know, there are quite a number of flights daily, so you don't really have to worry about the frequency.
